Detailed Safari Itinerary: 3 Days Exclusive Gorilla trekking Bwindi
- Day #1: Transfer early morning from Kampala (or Kigali) to the equator line for photography. And continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Early morning your driver-guide will be at your hotel, or lodge in Entebbe or around Kampala for transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a drive of about 2 hours, you’ll make the first stop at the equator line for photography and a geographical experience on the world’s centre line. After the 30-45 minutes at the centre line, you’ll continue with the drive towards western Uganda en route for lunch stops, you’ll reach to the national park in the evening. On arrival, check-in, relax, have dinner and spend the night at the booked accommodation facility.

- Day #2: Mountain Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park.
Following an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations for trekking gorillas in Uganda. During the briefing, a total of 8 tourists will be assigned to a single gorilla family depending on their hiking ability. The trek starts with each group being led by a park ranger talking about the gorilla, trekking for about 2-4 hours depending on where the gorillas spent their previous night.
Upon seeing the gorillas, a maximum of 1 hour will be given in the presence of these gentle giants for photography and amazing experiences. After the trek, return to the park headquarters where you’ll receive a gorilla trekking certificate. Your driver-guide will then ensure a safe transfer back to your lodge for refreshment and relaxation.
